Advanced Personal Security
The step beyond digital signature reduction. Detect and defeat physical surveillance - technical surveillance countermeasures, direction-finding tradecraft, non-destructive entry, and safe-house/team-clearing procedures.
ADVANCED PROGRAM: OPENING Q4 2026
FFP-401 is the advanced follow-on to FFP-201, Digital Force Protection Course.
FFP-201 secures what an operator carries and transmits. FFP-401 addresses what can be planted, hidden, or used to physically track and access them. The course covers direction-finding and RF detection, technical surveillance countermeasures, hardware teardown and inspection, non-destructive entry fundamentals, and safe-house/team-clearing procedures, culminating in a combined capstone scenario.
What FFP-401 Covers
- RF spectrum fundamentals and how tracking and implant hardware communicates
- Direction-finding tradecraft, taught build-vs-buy side by side on real hardware
- Technical surveillance countermeasure (TSCM) sweep methodology
- Hardware teardown and inspection for anomalous or implanted components
- Non-destructive entry and lock-bypass fundamentals
- Safe-house selection and small-team clearing procedures
- Combined capstone: entry, clearing, and a full TSCM sweep against planted devices
Prerequisites
- FFP-201 required. FFP-401 assumes the device, communications, and identity discipline from FFP-201 is already operational.
- Linux/CLI proficiency bar. Students operate SDR and direction-finding tools from a terminal throughout the course. This bar can be satisfied by prior relevant training, a Linux fundamentals certification, or a technical screening administered at intake.
Hardware Retained (Draft)
FFP-401 follows the same student-retained hardware model as FFP-201. Every piece of equipment students build or are issued during the course leaves with them, fully configured. Final bill of materials is being confirmed.
- Professional SDR transceiver and spectrum analyzer
- Direction-finding antenna and receiver pair
- Commercial handheld RF/Wi-Fi detection unit
- Self-build direction-finding kit (open-source firmware)
- Sub-GHz/RFID/NFC multi-tool
- TSCM visual inspection and wired-tap detection tools
- Non-destructive entry toolkit
- Dedicated Linux field-compute device
